Preparation for a Memorial visit, expectation management, basic knowledge of what to expect to be seen, character and mission of a memorial site, rules for visiting a memorial, make the students ask questions, reflection on the personal relevance of a visit to a memorial site.

What do we expect? What will we see? What do we want to know? How can we respond to the emotional expectations that a visit to a memorial site brings with it? In this lesson (or double lesson), pupils work in groups to develop basic questions and rules for their upcoming visit to a concentration camp memorial site.
