Accessibility Statement
The Anne Frank Zentrum e. V. strives to make the SHOAH STORIES website accessible. We want to enable all people to access our digital educational services as freely and without barriers as possible.
This accessibility statement applies to the website:
https://shoahstories.video
Accessibility status
The website is partially accessible.
We base the design and further development of SHOAH STORIES on the applicable requirements for digital accessibility. Existing barriers are gradually being reduced as part of the technical and editorial development of the platform.
Content that is not fully accessible
To the best of our current knowledge, the following areas in particular are not yet fully accessible:
Videos and audiovisual content
SHOAH STORIES provides a large number of short videos from various memorial sites, museums, educational institutions and content creators. Some of the videos are provided via external platforms.
Not all videos currently have complete subtitles, audio descriptions or a text alternative. The availability of accessible versions may depend in particular on the respective providers in the case of external content.
We continuously work to improve the accessibility of video content and, where possible, to provide subtitles and other text alternatives.
Images and graphical content
Not all images and graphical content may currently have complete or appropriate alternative text.
Educational materials and PDF documents
SHOAH STORIES provides educational materials and other documents for download, some of which are in PDF format. Not all of these documents are currently fully accessible.
If you require a specific document in an accessible format, please contact us. We will make every effort to provide you with the relevant content in an accessible form.
Navigation and usability
We continuously review the platform with regard to its usability with keyboards and assistive technologies. Individual navigation elements, filter functions or interactive areas may currently not be fully accessible.
These areas will be further optimized as part of the ongoing technical development of the platform.
Third-party content
SHOAH STORIES refers and links to third-party content and services, in particular social media platforms. We have no complete influence over the accessibility of these external services and content.
Feedback and contact
If you encounter barriers on SHOAH STORIES or have difficulties accessing specific content, we welcome your feedback.
Please let us know, where possible, which page, content or function is not accessible to you. We will make every effort to provide the relevant information in an accessible form.
